There are dumb social workers, and then there are World-Class Dumb social workers. Herewith an example of the prose of one of DCF's finest from an investigation report. Guaranteed to be 100% exactly as written, mistakes in spelling, grammar and punctuation and all, except the name of the child is kept confidential: (The investigator refers to herself as "Inv".):

The children were shy and gave one word answers and mother said " go ahead you can talk to him don't look at me talk to him". Mother was not very caring and kind to the children she was harsh and course with her voice. The children were very introvert when talking to this Inv they did not feel comfortable talking to this Inv about there mother.

The kids said that there mother takes good care of them and [child] said no, my mom don't hit me". The kids were quite and shy and mother had her jacket on and when this Inv was close to the end of the visit mother told the children to get there shoes on and get ready to go out and grab dinner. . .

This Inv walked outside with moth as he was leaving and mother forgot something an had to run back into the house. . .
